As part of Amritam Project, representatives from each house, along with two house teachers visited Gandhi Bhavan, a charitable trust for the poor and deprived at Ayaparambu on September 15, 2017. This home with 22 residents is an annexure of the Pathanapuram Gandhi Bhavan. The inmates included people of all age groups – from abandoned infants to the old and destitute – and they received the student team warmly. Our students handed over rice and pulses along with daily necessities like soap, toothpaste, etc. which were donated by them to the co-coordinator of Gandhi Bhavan. ‘A Handful of Rice and Pulses’ is a project undertaken by the Amritam Club to reach out and help the underprivileged in society.
