Joining Hands to Save Mother Earth

World Environment Day Celebrations –

Our school offered our prostrations to Mother Earth by celebrating World Environment Day on June 5th, 2017 in Amriteswari Hall, right after the re-opening day function. The very first day of the academic year witnessed the commencement of new projects and endeavours.

Swami Vedamrita Chaitanyaji inaugurated the celebrations and addressed the students, speaking about the importance of building a green world. Miss R.S. Akshaya of X-C delivered a speech on the ‘Importance of Environmental Day.’

Mr. Sashidharan from the Agricultural Department handed over a sapling to Swamiji for organic farming, who, in turn, gave it to one of our student representatives, Remith Raj of XII B.

‘Drip Irrigation’, a new endeavour by our Eco Club members, was inaugurated by Swami Vedamrita Chaitanyaji by handing over saplings to the Eco Club teachers, Mrs. Geetha S. and Mrs. Preethi Prasanth.

The function ended with the distribution of trophies and certificates to six teachers who were nominated as Tata ClassEdge Champions for the academic year 2016-17. This proved to be a source of encouragement for the teachers to switch to technology aided teaching.
