BRINGING TOGETHER THE OLD AND NEW GENERATIONS

Grandparents Day Celebration and UKG Graduation Ceremony

Our school laid the foundation for bringing together the old and new generations by celebrating grandparents’ day and UKG graduation ceremony on March 27, 2017. Sri Bineesh Menon, Academic Director of Canadian International School, Muvattupuzha offered felicitations at the function which was presided over by Miss Dhanya D.M, our Principal. The function was dedicated to all elderly people in our society.

The grandparents were received by our teachers in the traditional way. Mrs. Jayasree E.G. gave the welcome address. The KG graduates were honoured as Little Stars of our Vidyalayam by our guest and teachers. The programme was coordinated by Class XII students. The Thiruvathirakali by UKG beauties was a visual treat for the grandparents. The participation of the grandparents in the day’s programme made the event a memorable one. Many of them sang from their hearts and enjoyed taking part in musical chairs, while others shared their views and experiences. Vice Principal Mrs. Prema Radhakrishnan honoured the Luckiest Grandparents of the day by drawing lots and our Principal gave away the prizes to the winners of musical chairs and the singers of the day.

The celebration and the honouring ceremony were organised to encourage our tiny tots to respect and value their grandparents, and to bridge the gap between generations.
